Hello, my fellow Spirals!
WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. The three Ws are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?

Home (Marilynne Robinson)
A story about a father, daughter and a son who has returned home after a really long time. I am guessing it involves the son reconnecting with his family during his stay.
I bought this book from a second hand bookshop on a total whim. All I knew back then was that the overall Goodreads rating for this book is 4+ which was good enough for me.
So far, I am not a huge fan of this book. It is very hard for me to stick to and connect with. While the vocabulary is rich, it also means that it takes a lot of effort to stay focused and understand, neither of which I can do presently. Hopefully it picks up soon.

The House in the Cerulean Sean (TJ Klune)
Oh my, what a truly wholesome book. I totally got what I was looking for when I picked this up. In my opinion this book was targeted towards a younger demographic but it ended up appealing to all age groups. Must pick for everyone.
The plot revolves around Linus, a caseworker, who investigates and reports back on the working of an orphanage for all magical being kids.

The Passengers (John Marrs)
Another solid read. I found this book via BooksUnbound podcast and the comparison with Black Mirror immediately piqued my interest. It was a ride (haha notice the pun please) for sure. Really enjoyed it.
Plot: Eight people get into separate driverless cars only to be told that they’re destination has be re-programmed and will die within the next two and a half hours.

The Only Good Indians (Stephen Graham Jones)
My hold on Libby has finally come through after a long time and I am in some mood for Horror/Thriller so this ticks all those boxes.
I am unaware of the plot so check it out here.

I just finished Jenny Colgan’s “An Island Christmas” which I really enjoyed though it was quite an emotional journey and had a few strong themes, and I’m reading Stephen Moss’ “The Twelve Birds of Christmas” which is about birds he thinks might feature in the Christmas carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas. It’s a solid work of a bird book rather than a light Christmas read so I’m not sure if I’ll get it done by Christmas but I should by Twelfth Night!

I really like Stephen Graham Jones! I’ve been reading My Heart is a Chainsaw and The Last Final Girl! His writing is quirky but so unique!
