Hello, my fellow Spirals!
WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. The three Ws are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
The Gene – Siddhartha Mukherjee
Yes I am still reading it guys 😂 You are going to be seeing this every WWW Wednesday post for the next few weeks because this is a chunky book. I really like reading this but I feel like the need to pick it up often is dwindling. (Goodreads)
Loveless – Alice Oseman
So I was prepping another blog post where I was talking about how reading has opened me up to so many new things. And it got me thinking about how there are so many books with straight, gay or bi-sexual characters. But nothing about asexuality or pan-sexuality. That’s exactly what made me pick this book up and I am so glad to be learning about it.
This book revolves around Georgia who is 18, in college and hasn’t kissed anyone or wanted to kiss anyone yet. As she tries to put herself out there, mingle with people, find love, she also tries to figure out her sexuality. It is all about figuring yourself out, friendship, peer pressure and so much more. The Ones We Keep – Bobbie Jean Huff
This is an ARC I received from NetGalley that has been published on 18th Jan. I reeaallyy enjoyed this book a lot. More than I expected to actually. I was crying towards the end which is always a plus for the book. You can check my review for it here.
This is the story of Olivia, a mother to 3 boys with a perfect, that go to a beach resort. On returning from her solo hike, she finds out from a stranger that one of the boys living in the resort drowned. In fear of finding out which son died, and thinking that if she never found out then she can go on to pretend that all her sons are alive, she takes a bus to New York City and never looks back. Later, the story spans over several decades shedding light on how that decision impacted her and her sons’ lives. (Goodreads)
Persuasion – Jane Austen
I bought all the Jane Austen books on such a whim and now it’s time to tackle them. I have no idea about the story so wish me luck!
